Ball Turret Motor Restored

Well my friends, I am happy to announce that the power assembly for Lucky Thirteen‘s Type A-2 Ball Turret is now fully restored.

This is a project that has taken years of hard work and thousands of dollars in donations to complete.  And now it is finished.

To our supporters, we could not have done this without you.

Special thanks to our friend Thomas Schasney, who fabricated this custom display stand for the motor assembly.

With the power assembly completed, we decided that we were ready for the next step:

Hangar Thirteen now has a YouTube channel.

This is something that we discussed amongst ourselves for a long time.  And having crossed this major milestone, we felt that the time was right.

To test the waters, we have uploaded two videos – both featuring the ball turret power assembly – to get things started: one normal video and one short.  YouTube shorts are optimized for social media platforms like Instagram, so our first short simply shows the motor in operation.  The regular video is just over 10 minutes long and covers the ball turret’s power assembly in detail.  The idea is to see what kind of content people enjoy the most.

It is not exactly easy to film and edit videos on a regular basis, but if it helps the project, it is absolutely worth it.
